Car parks are busy

ALL car parks are very busy over the Easter period, with limited drive-up spots available. Please consider alternative transport options. Please have your QR code ready for a smooth entry and exit. Our roads and car parks may have changed since your last visit. Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times. Learn about the Naarm Way Stage 2 project to plan ahead: https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/plan-ahead. To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups. Thank you for your patience.

Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network

What is GreenPower?

GreenPower independently audits participating providers to make sure the right amount of renewable energy is fed into the grid. Melbourne Airport is an approved GreenPower Provider. This means that on-site businesses, partners and retailers can choose Melbourne Airport GreenPower as their electricity supplier and GreenPower Provider.

GreenPower is a government-managed program that makes sure that businesses who buy GreenPower are supporting greater renewable energy generation in Australia.

What is Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network?

We are Australia's first and only airport to become a GreenPower approved Provider.

Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network is a way that we can "grow" our own energy on-site using huge solar farms then on-sell that power to retailers, tenants and partners. The energy we supply is cleaner, competitively priced, renewable and is fully accredited.

How are we empowered by homegrown energy?

Our solar farm opened in 2021 and marked a substantial step towards a greener future for Melbourne Airport. The first of its kind in Australia, the 16-hectare, 14-megawatt site is home to an estimated 30,000 solar panels.

The completion of the second North Airfield Solar Farm in late 2024 represents an even greater leap towards our 2025 Scope 1 and Scope 2 Net Zero Target, adding a further 20,000 panels.

Remarkably, the combined solar energy generated by both will be enough to power all four airport terminals. As we set the standard for airport sustainability all over the world, we invite our wider airport community to join us in being proudly powered by homegrown energy.

From large-scale, site-wide operations to our independent terminal retailers, it's our mission to be proudly powered by homegrown energy.

Why is homegrown energy good?

Renewable energy is just one way Melbourne Airport undertakes our business in an environmentally sustainable manner. Our aim is to achieve net zero for Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions by 2025.

Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network also helps the tenants, retailers and partners who use our energy to conduct their business more sustainably - which is good for all of us.

Make the powerful switch to homegrown energy

The possibilities are endless with Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network. Surplus solar energy becomes a way for our on-site business partners to access competitively priced, cleaner energy.

We believe in giving our on-site retailers, tenants and partners energy options. Tenants, retailers and on-site business partners can choose a renewable energy plan to suit their business

By harnessing the power of onsite solar production, we're able to offer rates that go beyond the market norm.

Plus, we make switching easy and offer seamless maintenance from people who know the airport layout and operational procedures.

Join us in shaping tomorrow

Melbourne Airport's GreenPower Network isn't just about energy – it's about forging a path towards a brighter, more sustainable future.
