Car parks are busy

ALL car parks are very busy over the Easter period, with limited drive-up spots available. Please consider alternative transport options. Please have your QR code ready for a smooth entry and exit. Our roads and car parks may have changed since your last visit. Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times. Learn about the Naarm Way Stage 2 project to plan ahead: https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/plan-ahead. To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups. Thank you for your patience.

Fire Impairment and Hot Works application process

Overview

Melbourne Airport has introduced a new process for Fire Impairment and Hot Works Permit applications. This process applies to all areas, excluding Airfield (beyond 5 meters of the Terminal building drip line). For Airfield Permits, please refer to the Airside Works Safety Policy.

This online form simplifies the application process, including documentation submission and understanding approvals or rejections. Key improvements include permit tracking, documentation prompts, and clearer payment instructions, reducing rework between submission and approval.

We've recently improved our security with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). If you're using a social account (Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) to log in, please check our User Guide for an easy step-by-step tutorial on the login process.

Important: All applications must be submitted through this form with at least two (2) business days' notice.

How do I use the new form?

To help users with the new forms, we’ve created user guides and videos available on the Melbourne Airport Learning Management System (LMS). Search “Fire Impairment and Hot Works Permits” for:

  • Tutorials on creating and modifying applications
  • Guidance on workflow comprehension
  • Sample maps for reference
  • Reasons for potential application rejections
  • Instructions for using DocuSign

Accessing the LMS:

All guides, documents, and inductions are hosted on the LMS. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to set one up. Instructions for account setup and accessing materials are available on the Using the APAC People Central Learning Management System page.
