The car parks and roads at Melbourne Airport are very busy this week

All car parks at Melbourne Airport are very busy this week and booking out fast. If you don't have a booking, consider alternate forms of transport to come to the airport. If you do have a booking, allow extra time to find a spot and have your QR code ready for a smooth entry. Please note access to the Terminal 4 Car Park via the Naarm Way ramp has fully reopened. You can now drive straight from the Tullamarine Freeway via Exit 19A with no detours required. Due to ongoing construction in the Terminal 1,2,3 car park pick up and drop off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times if you are being dropped off by a loved one, taxi or Uber.  Thank you for your patience while we are building your airport.

Overview

Jobs and internships for students together with significant research projects are at the heart of Melbourne Airport’s partnership with Victoria University.

In the first ever university partnership for the airport, students of the west will have the chance to contribute to one of the biggest economic drivers in the state.

The three-year Memorandum of Understanding will also look to enrich the visitor experience to the airport through a First Nations Education framework, research and STEM programs at the new Tech school development in Brimbank will also be explored.

Melbourne Airport CEO, Lorie Argus, said the partnership with Victoria University will enable student placements, job and tertiary learning opportunities each year.

“We’re excited to create formal education and training pathways with Victoria University, giving local students exposure to our staff and aviation specialists which could lead to exciting careers in aviation. The projects delivered under the MOU will help guide our future planning and we look forward to working with young people in the community under the three-year agreement.”
