The T2 Amenities Project will see the upgrade of amenity blocks across Terminal 2 Arrivals and Departures. These new amenities will improve and create a more inclusive range of facilities. A new large amenity will be constructed in the Terminal 2 Arrivals Concourse and will contain Female, Male, Accessible and All Gender toilets. A new Parents Room will also be constructed in this area for arriving travellers.

Terminal 2 (T2) International Arrivals will see the construction of a new large super-block, consisting of Female and Male Amenities, Accessible toilets, as well as two All Gender toilets. This new amenity will offer 32 cubicles and 30 hand wash basins in the female amenities. There will be 11 cubicles and 21 urinals within the male amenity. The new All Gender toilets, will be able to be utilised by anyone, regardless of their gender identity or expression.

A new Parents Rooms room with an adult toilet, a Children’s toilet, baby change area and two private feeding rooms will also be constructed. This new block will provide an increase of amenities for all arriving travellers in the Arrivals Concourse and is located opposite the Australian Border Force Smart Gate Kiosks, before Duty Free.

Impact on travellers in 2024

There will be no disruption to amenities as we work through this project. All existing traveller amenities will remain open in the T2 Arrivals Concourse, until the end of this project. 

The project is expected to be completed by December 2024.
