There are disruptions due to construction work around Melbourne Airport. Please check this list so you can plan ahead.

Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times.

To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups.

Please refer to the map below, where each impact is labelled with a corresponding number for easy reference.

1A: Lane 1 - SkyBus, Value Express, Qantas Staff, Uber & Taxis

• 28/04/2025 - 06/05/2025: Midnight to 07:00 - Right Lane closed overnight.

1B. Lane 2 - Off-airport and Groups and Charters Services

• 28/04/2025 - 06/05/2025: Midnight to 07:00 - Buses and pedestrians redirected to the public pick-up area.

1C. Lane 3 - Public Pick-Up

• 16/04/2025 – 28/04/2025: 7 pick-up bays closed.
• 28/04/2025 – 6/05/2025:
  - 07:00 to Midnight: 7 pick up bays closed.
  - Midnight to 07:00: Off-airport buses will use the public pick-up area. 1 out of 4 lanes closed - follow detour signage.

2A. Approximately 20 bays are permanently closed on each level (Levels 1 to 6) of the car park for the construction of new lifts.

2B. Level 1: 20 bays temporarily closed for VHA Boom Gate work.

2C. Levels 2–6: Enter via alternate rear ramp from Level 1 (main entrance ramp is closed).

2D. Level 2: 580 bays temporarily closed (former Valet and Premium area).

2E. Level 3: 260 bays permanently closed for construction of a new drop-off area.

3. Exit: Three boom gates open. Overnight boom gate lane closures (23:00 –04:00).

4A. New entrance ramp is now open.

5. Car Rental Returns: Enter via Centre Road.

6. Arrivals Drive has been reduced to three lanes. Forecourt Lanes 2, 3, and 4 now exit the precinct via the Melbourne Drive intersection.

7. Pedestrian Detour in place between Value Car Park and the terminals.

8. Triple lane closure on Terminal Drive, 29/04/2025 between 02:00 and 02:30 (one lane will remain open).

9. T1 Taxi Rank: 2 taxi bays permanently closed.

11. One lane remains closed on the Naarm Way ramp (ramp from Tullamarine Fwy to T4 Terminal Car Park).

12A. Northbound: Only 1 lane open from 10:00 – 15:00, Sunday to Thursday (until 16 May).

13. No access during this period.

• Assistance is available for passengers in the forecourt area.
• Plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time to account for potential delays.
• For smoother pick-ups, use the T4 pick-up area to avoid congestion in the T123 forecourt.
