Passengers can now receive personalised, real time, information about their flight via social media.
A new flight information service has arrived at Melbourne Airport, offering information to passengers such as departure gates and boarding times via Twitter.
Melbourne Airport is the first airport in Australia to introduce the technology from BizTweet, which is developed by internationally renowned Technology Integration Consultancy (TIC).
To receive personalised information, passengers go to the website and subscribe to a flight by providing their Twitter screen name and handle or they can directly tweet @MELflights with their flight number.
