Traffic and pedestrian changes around T4

Apr 29, 2014

A number of changes to traffic and pedestrian routes around Terminal 4 (Tigerair and Rex Arrivals) will come into effect on Wednesday 30 May 2014.

These changes include:

Grants Road – ONE WAY, eastbound between Service and Centre roads.

Depot Drive – CLOSED permanently to all traffic.

Service Road – TWO WAY road (western carriageway only).

Please see the map below.

These changes to traffic and pedestrian routes are required for construction to continue on Melbourne Airport’s new integrated ground transport hub, which is being built across the road from the new Terminal 4.

The integrated ground transport hub and new domestic terminal are part of Melbourne Airport’s proposed $10 billion investment program.

Additional and improved infrastructure is essential to ensure Melbourne Airport can accommodate growth particularly in the domestic travel market, which is expected to double over the next 20 years.

We appreciate your patience as we transform Melbourne Airport to become Australia’s principal aviation gateway.
