Tullamarine Freeway Closures - 28 June to 11 July 2012

Jun 08, 2012

The Tullamarine Freeway will be closed at times in June and July 2012 while Melbourne Airport continues construction work on the APAC Drive On-ramp and VicRoads undertakes further work on its M80 Ring Road Upgrade project.

On Thursday 28 June, all airport bound lanes between Mercer Drive and the airport will be closed between 10.30pm and 5am.

From Friday 28 June to Tuesday 3 July, the Tullamarine Freeway city bound will be down to two lanes from 10:30pm to 5am each evening.

Please allow extra travel time during these closure periods.

These closures are a necessary safety measure for workers coating the structural elements that span the city and airport bound freeway, and for the installation of lighting for the on ramp.

In addition, asphalt works and line marking on the new on-ramp lanes, which merge into the city bound freeway, will be progressed.

VicRoads will also be closing the freeway at times in July to undertake construction work on its M80 Ring Road Upgrade project.

The full schedule of closures is as follows:
