Tullamarine Freeway Closures - Friday 3 to Sunday 5 February

Jan 31, 2012

Construction works will continue this weekend, Friday 3 to Sunday 5 February, on Melbourne Airport’s new APAC Drive On-ramp.
City bound lanes between the airport and Mickleham Road will be closed between 10.30pm and 5.30am while major bridge works are undertaken.

The full freeway, and lane, closures are expected to cause some delays when leaving Melbourne Airport. Please allow extra travel time.

APAC Drive On-ramp is one of Melbourne Airport's major projects that, once completed, will provide an additional entry to the Tullamarine Freeway from the airport.

The new on-ramp is expected to take around 15 percent of traffic from the southern end of the airport precinct, helping to reduce traffic around the terminal.

Over the next five years, we plan to spend about $1 billion on projects that will improve infrastructure to help ease congestion on the roads in and out of the airport precinct.
