Congratulations to our Salvation Army airport chaplain, Major Winton Knop, who has been recognised as the National Customer Service Professional of the Year at the 2012 11th Annual Australian Service Excellence awards.
The awards ceremony recognises Australia’s leading service providers, organisations and individuals. Hosted by our nation’s peak customer service association, the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA), the winners are chosen from a field of Australia’s top and most successful customer service organisations.
Winton Knop does an exceptional job supporting our passengers, visitors and staff at Melbourne Airport. He's also been the driving force behind our customer care program in which a growing team of volunteers are on hand to help our passengers start their journeys with wayfinding and general information.
We are also introducing our own Melbourne Airport Customer Service Awards to identify and reward individual, teams and organisations from across the airport where outstanding service has been delivered, reflecting the values and service promise contained within the Melbourne Airport Customer Service Charter.
If you know of someone who has displayed excellent customer service you can nominate an outstanding individual, team or organization today!
