Melbourne Business Park Warehouse

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PLAN (MDP)

Melbourne Airport has received approval to build a Business Park Warehouse in the Melbourne Airport Business Park. The MDP is in response to the increasing demand for logistics and distribution centre space in the Melbourne Airport Business Park which offers commercial and industrial businesses large and flexible spaces, excellent access to roads, air and ports and growth opportunities.

The proposed development is located on Link Road and consists of a 100,000 square metre warehouse.
The warehouse will contribute to the local and state economy by creating construction and ongoing employment opportunities.

The proposed warehouse development is consistent with the Melbourne Airport 2013 Master Plan, which outlines the plan to develop the remaining 146 hectares of vacant land within the Melbourne Airport Business Park for large industrial warehouses and distribution centres ranging in size.

The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport approved the Major Development Plan for the project on 23 August 2016.

The final Major Development Plan can be viewed here.

Copies of the MDP are also available for inspection and purchase by members of the public at the office of Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Ltd, 2nd floor, T2 (International Terminal) Melbourne Airport, telephone 9297 1600 between 8.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday for a period of 180 days.
