Melbourne Airport

New managing director

May 10, 2007

In August 2006, Chris Barlow announced his intention to retire as the CEO and Managing Director of Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (APAC), operator of Melbourne and Launceston Airports.

At that time APAC Chairman Don Mercer confirmed that Chris Woodruff, formerly with BAA plc, would succeed Mr Barlow in the position.

Unfortunately the appointment, scheduled to commence from March 2007, was delayed for family reasons. Those matters have now been resolved, and Chris Woodruff will join APAC in August 2007 and will take over as Managing Director of APAC on 1 September 2007.

It will remain ‘business as usual’ at both Melbourne and Launceston Airports in the lead-up to and during the transition.
