Flight tips for staying fresh

Jul 22, 2016

There is no better feeling than arriving at your holiday destination feeling (and looking) good. Sometimes though, long-haul flights can leave us feeling drained and dehydrated.

Here are our simple airline beauty tips and carry on suggestions to keep you feeling fresh and ready to embrace your holiday destination:

1.      Drink plenty of water

To avoid dehydration, drink water constantly throughout your flight. If your airline doesn’t offer complimentary water, take an empty drink bottle through security and re-fill as required.

2.      Moisturise

Just as water rehydrates your body, moisturiser is the key to rehydrating your skin. Choose a light moisturiser that is oil free, to keep your skin fresh without feeling sticky.

3.      Protect your lips

If you’re feeling thirsty then you’re already dehydrated. Your lips are the perfect indicator of this. If they’re cracked and dry, not only should you be drinking more water, but it’s also a good idea to pack a lip softener, to protect them from further damage.

4.      Wipe away dirt and grime

Refresh your face before landing with a make up wipe. Wipe away the dirt and grime from hours of travelling to keep yourself looking and feeling refreshed.

5.      Brush away that furry feeling

Take a small toothbrush and toothpaste on board whenever you fly to keep your teeth clean and help you feel fresh from teeth to toe.

6.      Keep it sanitised

With so many people in a confined space, germs are bound to bounce around. A small antiseptic hand sanitiser is perfect to keep your hands germ-free.

The above items are available at Amcal Pharmacy located in T2 and T4.
