The pedestrian crossing from the short term car park to the International Terminal (T2) is now closed.

The crossing was temporarily fenced last week for construction to commence on removing this crossing, which will take place over the next week.

Traffic lights at this former crossing have been disconnected, allowing for better traffic flow through Arrivals Drive.

Pedestrians are asked to use the two, recently widened, crossings at the Qantas Terminal (T1) and Virgin Australia Terminal (T3). Way finding signage is in place to direct people to these crossings.

The removal of the middle pedestrian crossing is part of the Forecourt Redevelopment project to ease traffic congestion in and out of the airport precinct.
